Castilla y León rolls out digital certification and school upgrades
The Junta de Castilla y León is expanding its education programmes this summer. In Segovia, the regional authority will hold 19 digital‑competence assessment tests on 18‑19 August, offering free certification through the TuCertiCyL scheme, which is co‑financed by EU FEDER funds. Participants can also attend free training sessions covering basic computer skills, office software, artificial‑intelligence tools and 3‑D‑printing design, while the Digital Olympiads for children continue in nearby towns.
Separately, the Junta has earmarked €3.8 million for school‑infrastructure improvements in the province of León. Works include renovating bathrooms, replacing windows and roofs, installing climate‑control systems and upgrading facilities in dozens of primary and infant schools, as part of a broader plan to modernise educational spaces and enhance safety and accessibility.
