Spanish and Latin American authorities fund heritage and infrastructure repairs

The Government of La Rioja in Spain allocated €72,027.50 to repair and consolidate stone walls in the municipality of Treviana, covering 99 metres of masonry to improve safety and preserve the town’s historic appearance.

In the Argentine province of Jujuy, the Ministry of Education completed repairs to the Luis Alberto Martínez Arts Center after wind‑storm damage, restoring the roof and cleaning the site to ensure safe use for students and the community.

The Regional Government of Cusco, Peru, launched a S/ 12 million project to restore the 16th‑century Casa Martín Pío Concha, converting it into an interactive interpretation centre that will benefit over 13 000 families in the Sacred Valley.

In Spain’s Castilla‑La Mancha, more than €128 000 were earmarked to begin the integral rehabilitation of the 16th‑century Church of Santa María Magdalena in Poyatos, addressing roof leaks, structural damage and interior restoration.

The municipality of Málaga completed a €30 867 renovation of the Nuestra Señora de la Piedad chapel, improving its structural integrity, lighting and security for the historic image it houses.
