Italy implements various school infrastructure and reconstruction projects

Various Italian municipalities and regions are implementing significant investments to renovate, repair, and expand educational facilities.

In Castorano, Marche, an additional 557,769.61 euros has been transferred to the Special Office for Reconstruction to support the Leopardi nursery and primary school. This brings the total authorized funding for the project to over 3.7 million euros, reaching 80% of the total authorized contribution. The reconstruction is part of the ongoing efforts following the 2016 earthquake.

In Lecco, the De Amicis primary school and Damiano Chiesa nursery are undergoing an 8-million-euro redevelopment. The project includes structural safety improvements, energy efficiency upgrades such as photovoltaic installation, and the creation of near-zero energy (NZEB) spaces.

Other regional updates include a 500,000-euro project in Fano to resolve water infiltration issues at the Carrara-Cuccurano primary school, and a 200,000-euro PNRR-funded renovation of gym changing rooms and accessibility improvements at the Cova-Lanzoni middle school in Faenza.

Additionally, the Canossa school in Castelleone has completed 120,000 euros in safety and functional upgrades, while Castagnole Piemonte is introducing new integrated educational services for the 2026/2027 school year.
