Castro Marim hosts summer festivals attracting thousands

The Festas em Honra de Nossa Senhora dos Mártires took place in Castro Marim from August 13 to 17, drawing thousands of attendees through a variety of religious, musical, and cultural activities.

Religious observances included a mass at the Church of Nossa Senhora dos Mártires and a Candle Procession. The cultural program featured a craft fair, dance performances by the ARUTLA group, and musical sets by artists such as Ana Bacalhau, The Gift with Sónia Tavares, and Buba Espinho.

Youth-focused activities included games and the launch of the Young Participatory Budget, while the festivities concluded with a summer concert by the Banda Musical Castromarinense. The event was organized by the Castro Marim Municipal Council in partnership with the local Parish of São Tiago.
