Castro Marim and Manzaneque host medieval festivals in August 2026

The Portuguese town of Castro Marim in the Algarve will stage its Days Medieval from 26‑30 August 2026. The historic castle will host tournaments, markets, concerts and demonstrations by about thirty groups from Italy, Spain, Morocco and France. The event, billed as a major historical‑recreation attraction, expects thousands of visitors and offers a new layout and upgraded ambience; tickets are on sale.

In central Spain, the town of Manzaneque will hold Manzanech Medieval from 31 July to 2 August 2026. Organized by the San Clemente Cultural Center with support from the Toledo provincial council, the mayor and the Theatre Company Atenea, the three‑day program includes medieval crafts, performances, local volunteers and a focus on boosting the rural economy and preserving heritage.
