Argentina expands regional vocational and professional training programs

Various municipalities and provincial governments across Argentina are launching diverse vocational training and educational initiatives to improve employment prospects.

In Catamarca, the Ministry of Education and Labor has partnered with the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) to offer virtual, self-managed language training in English and Portuguese. This program aims to provide accessible tools for educational and professional development throughout the province.

In Mercedes, Buenos Aires province, the first public Higher Technical Degree in Hemotherapy has been launched at the Regional University Center, serving students from the entire region through a hybrid learning model.

Other regional efforts include professional workshops in Formosa focusing on hairdressing and technical repairs, and the “Yo Puedo” program in Rawson, which provides construction and plumbing training specifically for women. Additionally, Río Gallegos and Viedma have introduced various free courses ranging from hospitality and gastronomy to electricity and mechanics, while Posadas has launched the “Generación Puente” program to assist workers over 35 in career transitions.
