Catania officials call for traffic plan in Borgo Sanzio

Maria Spampina, president of the III Municipio of Catania, has called for an urgent traffic management plan for the Borgo Sanzio area to address the influx of residents returning from summer holidays.

Key entry points to the city, including Via Vincenzo Giuffrida, Viale Vittorio Veneto, Viale Mediterraneo, and the ring road, are at risk of severe congestion. Spampina warned that without proactive planning and coordination with the municipal police, the area faces the risk of paralyzed traffic and kilometer-long queues as work activities resume at full capacity.
