Catanzaro allocates €2 million to revitalize local businesses

The Municipality of Catanzaro has announced a two-million-euro initiative to support the growth and revitalization of local businesses within the city's historic center and strategic neighborhoods. This funding is part of the integrated urban strategy titled “Regeneration, cohesion and sustainability for the future of the city,” which is financed through the Calabria Fesr Fse+ 2021-2027 regional program.

The investment will be distributed through two distinct public notices under the de minimis regime. The first, “Integrated entrepreneurial projects for the development of the Historic Center,” provides 600,000 euros for businesses looking to establish themselves in the ancient heart of the city. The second, “Neighborhood Businesses,” allocates 1.4 million euros to support activities in the historic center and the Lido, Santa Maria, and Gagliano neighborhoods.

Targeted sectors include proximity commerce, traditional and innovative craftsmanship, cultural and creative enterprises, innovative services, and territorial marketing. The program aims to combine urban spatial requalification with direct economic support to maintain vibrant urban areas.
