Catanzaro: Foreign national expelled and repatriated

A foreign national has been expelled and repatriated from Italy following a routine check by the Carabinieri in Soverato, in the province of Catanzaro. The individual was found to be residing irregularly in the country and was already subject to an expulsion decree issued by the Prefect of Catanzaro.

Investigations revealed the individual had a criminal record involving offenses such as receiving stolen goods, the unauthorized use and falsification of non-cash payment instruments, and the invasion of land and buildings. Prior to the final expulsion, the individual had been under administrative measures, including the obligation to report to police offices and the surrender of their passport.

On September 4, the State Police executed the expulsion, escorting the man to Fiumicino Airport for repatriation. The individual is also subject to a three-year ban on re-entering the country.
