Catanzaro launches youth performance training and civic engagement

The city of Catanzaro is seeing a surge in youth engagement and cultural development. Local youth recently held a demonstration in the city center to voice concerns regarding the cost of living, fuel prices, housing, education, and healthcare.

In a separate cultural development, the Cap project has launched in Catanzaro. Promoted by the Municipality of Catanzaro and managed by the Fondazione Politeama under the artistic direction of Settimio Pisano, the initiative provides live performance training for sixteen selected local youths. Based at the San Giovanni monumental complex, the program will run until May 2027, covering acting, directing, technical production, and light design. The project aims to strengthen community ties through free public performances at the Teatro Politeama.
