Catherine Zeta-Jones premieres ‘Kill Jackie’ in Bilbao

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones traveled to Bilbao, Spain, for the international premiere of her new thriller series, ‘Kill Jackie’. The event, held at the Palacio Euskalduna, featured a red carpet appearance by the star and members of the cast.

The series, based on the novel ‘The Price You Pay’ by Nick Harkaway, follows Jackie Price, a former drug smuggler turned art dealer who must evade a group of assassins known as the ‘Seven Demons’. The production had a significant local impact, having been filmed across various locations in Bizkaia, London, and Swansea, with approximately 50-60% of the crew composed of local audiovisual professionals. Producers noted that the filming process generated an economic impact of 258 million euros in the Bizkaia region.

During the promotional tour, Zeta-Jones attended press conferences at the Museo Vasco and engaged with fans and media, expressing her affection for the Basque Country following the filming period.
