Overview

Production on the eight‑part revenge thriller Kill Jackie, starring and executive‑producing Catherine Zeta‑Jones, wrapped in mid‑2026. The series, co‑produced by Fremantle, Steel Springs Pictures, and Deabru Kalea Filmeak, adapts Nick Harkaway’s 2018 novel ‘The Price You Pay’. Distribution agreements have been finalized across multiple territories. Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO Max secured a pan‑European deal covering Spain, Portugal, the Nordic countries, France, Belgium, and additional markets. Prime Video obtained rights for the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Canada. In the United States, streaming rights are held by AMC+.

The series’ premiere date is confirmed for October 2, 2026. All eight episodes are scheduled to debut on this date on Amazon Prime Video in Europe and the UK, while the US release on AMC+ may follow a weekly rollout.

On September 24, 2026, Catherine Zeta‑Jones attended the London premiere of the series at the Curzon Bloomsbury. On September 29, 2026, Zeta‑Jones traveled to Bilbao, Spain, for the international premiere held at the Palacio Euskalduna. During this promotional visit, she attended press conferences at the Museo Vasco and engaged with fans, reiterating her affection for the Basque Country.

The production had a significant economic impact on the Bizkaia region, with producers noting a contribution of 258 million euros. Filming occurred over four months across 15 municipalities in Bizkaia, as well as London and Swansea, with approximately 50-60% of the crew composed of local audiovisual professionals. The plot follows former drug smuggler‑turned‑art dealer Jackie Price as she is pursued by a hit‑man squad known as ‘The Seven Demons’.
