Catherine Zeta‑Jones‑led Thriller “Kill Jackie” Secures Pan‑European HBO Max Release

Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service HBO Max has signed a pan‑European distribution deal for the eight‑part revenge thriller Kill Jackie, starring and executive‑producing Oscar‑winner Catherine Zeta‑Jones. The series, co‑produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures with Deabru Kalea Filmeak, adapts Nick Harkaway’s 2018 novel The Price You Pay. Production has wrapped and the show will debut in Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, France, Belgium and additional markets next year, while Prime Video will carry it in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada. AMC holds the U.S. streaming rights.

The deal expands HBO Max’s European catalogue and brings together talent from Killing Eve and Gangs of London, with Tom Butterworth serving as writer and showrunner and Damon Thomas directing. The series is positioned as a high‑profile addition to the platform’s upcoming slate.
