Catholic Church hosts regional gatherings in Barbacena and Marília, Brazil
On June 27, a preparatory meeting was held at the Centro Regional de Pastoral in Barbacena, Minas Gerais, to coordinate the upcoming Archdiocesan Assembly of the Sociopolitical Dimension of Evangelization scheduled for July 11 in Viçosa. The event gathered pastoral coordinators, agents, and representatives from health, youth, sobriety, prison ministries and other social projects to discuss the Church’s social doctrine and plan regional structures.
Separately, on July 17 the Diocese of Marília in São Paulo will hold a mini‑quermesse at the Seminário Rainha dos Apóstolos, preceded by a Mass celebrated by Bishop Luiz Antonio Cipolini. The festivities, marking the National Day of the Couples' Encounter with Christ, will feature live music, food stalls and a raffle, aiming to strengthen family participation in the Church’s evangelizing mission.
