Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo critiques Minister Albares in Cádiz

During a political and cultural event in Jerez, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, a prominent member of the Popular Party (PP), delivered sharp criticisms against Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares. Addressing the electoral landscape in Cádiz, Álvarez de Toledo labeled Albares as a candidate representing Moroccan interests rather than Spanish ones.

She accused the Minister of being complicit in the migration surge in Ceuta and criticized his refusal to comply with Supreme Court orders regarding the disclosure of fraudulent nationality applications. Additionally, she highlighted the need for a stronger state to combat drug trafficking along the coasts of Cádiz and Andalusia, proposing the creation of a specific anti-narcotics unit and reforms to the Penal Code to reinforce authority.

In separate political developments, the PP has finalized several candidate lists for the upcoming November 29 elections. In Valencia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has appointed Mayor María José Catalá to lead the party's list for the Congress of Deputies, a role she intends to hold alongside her mayoral duties. In the Balearic Islands, the PP and Vox have also confirmed their candidates, reflecting internal party discipline and leadership shifts.
