Cádiz announces registration details for COAC 2027 Carnival

Registration for the 2027 Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) in Cádiz will open on September 18 and close on October 1. The new regulations for adult, children, and youth categories introduce a simplified electronic registration process via the SARA network, requiring a digital signature and proof of tax and social security compliance.

The competition is scheduled to begin on January 8, 2027, with the adult grand final set for February 5. The Municipal Delegation of Festivals is providing technical advisory services to assist groups with the new administrative requirements.

In the quartet category, the Romero Castellón brothers are reuniting for the 2027 edition with the group ‘Nos tienen que matar’. The lineup will feature brothers Iván, Borja, Yeray, and Rubén Romero Castellón, alongside Pedro Tamayo. This reunion follows their previous successes in the competition, including first-place wins in 2013 and 2014.
