Cádiz Carnival artists announce projects for COAC 2027

Key figures in the Cádiz Carnival have announced their participation and projects for the 2027 Concurso Oficial de Agrupaciones Carnavalescas (COAC) at the Gran Teatro Falla.

Álex ‘El Peluca’ has revealed the name of his chirigota: ‘Los ascetas de la Caleta que buscando a su profeta se hartaron de croqueta y se quedaron majareta vulgo Los Yogui (la conspiración)’. In addition to this chirigota, he will also participate in the comparsa category alongside Ángel Subiela.

Miguel Ángel García Argüez, known as ‘El Chapa’, will debut a solo comparsa titled ‘La plaga’. This marks a significant change in his career, as he will now handle the entire repertoire and music himself, following the dissolution of his previous group directed by Francisco Javier Bohórquez. This move follows his performance with ‘El desguace’ in 2026.
