Cádiz water utility issues advisory over potential turbidity
Aguas de Cádiz has issued a warning regarding potential episodes of water turbidity in certain areas of the city, particularly within the historic district. This issue arises from ongoing maneuvers intended to normalize the hydraulic network following recent supply incidents.
The municipal company advises that if the water appears turbid, it should not be consumed or used for cooking or food preparation. This precaution should remain in place until the water returns to its normal appearance. While the advisory is being issued as a prudent measure, only seven reports of turbidity have been received among the 45,000 subscribers so far.
This is not a general prohibition on water consumption for the entire city, but a specific recommendation for instances where visible turbidity is present. Aguas de Cádiz is continuing to monitor the network and perform necessary checks to ensure service normalization. Residents who detect turbidity can report the incident via a free telephone line.
