Cebu Pacific increases hand carry limit to 10kg

Cebu Pacific has announced an update to its hand carry policy, increasing the total weight allowance from 7kg to 10kg for passengers on Cebu Pacific (5J) flights. This change is scheduled to take effect on September 15, 2026.

Under the new policy, travelers are permitted up to two pieces of hand carry items: one piece for the overhead bin and one personal item to be placed under the seat in front. The overhead bin item must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm, while the personal item must be within 20 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm.

Flights operated by Cebgo (DG) will maintain the existing 7kg hand carry limit. The airline stated that the policy update aims to provide passengers with more flexibility while helping crew manage baggage more efficiently to maintain flight schedules.
