Celebrity Traitors returns to Scotland with star-studded cast
The second series of the BBC reality competition ‘Celebrity Traitors’ has premiered at Ardross Castle in Scotland, featuring 21 celebrities competing for up to £100,000 for charity. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the season has already seen significant drama following an accidental confession by actor Richard E. Grant, who revealed his status as a ‘Traitor’ to fellow contestants shortly after being selected for the role alongside Maya Jama.
In the opening episodes, the Traitors were given the opportunity to recruit a third member or murder a contestant. Comedian James Acaster was recruited as the third Traitor, while journalist Amol Rajan became the first player eliminated after being ‘murdered’ by the group. The series features a diverse cast including Michael Sheen, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, and Joe Lycett, with much of the early gameplay focusing on the tension between the ‘Faithfuls’ and the secret ‘Traitors’.
