CELIOS survey: 75% of public stressed by Prabowo-Gibran policies

A survey conducted by the Center of Economic and Law Studies (CELIOS) and the Shadow Cabinet reveals that 75 percent of respondents feel stressed due to the policies of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The study, which surveyed 1,142 respondents between September 15 and October 9, 2026, also found that 67 percent of the public reported stress resulting from the behavior of President Prabowo.

Key findings from the report indicate significant public dissatisfaction with economic measures. Approximately 82 percent of respondents believe that government taxes and levies are too heavy, suggesting that state revenue policies may be increasing economic pressure on households. Additionally, 60 percent of respondents feel that the centralization of government policy is detrimental to regional economies, while 51 percent perceive the administration as moving toward militaristic governance.
