Celsia restores electricity service following earthquake in Colombia
Celsia, a subsidiary of Grupo Argos, has confirmed the full restoration of its electricity distribution network following an earthquake that occurred on August 10. As of September 8, the company reported that all operational failures caused by the seismic event have been resolved, and there are currently no active reports of users without power in its coverage areas.
Technical teams and contractors have completed repairs to the affected infrastructure. Ricardo Sierra, a leader at Celsia, stated that all events associated with the earthquake have been addressed, noting the effectiveness of crews deployed in the Valle del Cauca department. Despite the normalization of service, the company is maintaining inspection crews under its ‘Retejer’ strategy to monitor the network.
