CENTCOM launches Task Force Falcon Strike multinational drone unit

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the formation of Task Force Falcon Strike, the first multinational and multi-domain attack drone task force. The unit is designed to integrate attack drone capabilities across the Middle East, utilizing one-way unmanned systems that operate in the air, on the surface, and beneath the sea.

Led by personnel from U.S. Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), the task force aims to create a unified deterrent by involving regional partners. CENTCOM has already initiated the process of inviting and consulting with allies to join the initiative.

Falcon Strike builds upon the operational foundation of Task Force Scorpion Strike, established nine months ago. Scorpion Strike achieved several milestones, including the first aerial attack drone launch from a U.S. Navy warship in December and the use of unmanned attack vessels during strikes on Iranian port facilities in July.
