Centenarian milestones honored in Lambrugo and Lamon, Italy

Angelo Lanfranchi, born on 1 July 1926, marked his 100th birthday in Lambrugo, Lombardy. A former railway station master and World‑War II partisan, he received a municipal commendation, a parchment, a book, an ANPI scarf and pin, and later celebrated the occasion with family and local officials on 4 July.

Luigia Maria Cavallari, aged 110, was celebrated in Lamon, Veneto, becoming the region’s second‑oldest resident. The town organized events attended by the provincial governor and the vice‑mayor. Born in 1916 in Borgonovo Val Tidone to immigrant parents, she moved to Lamon as a teenager, married in 1947, and remains active in sports memories and local traditions, with her daughters assisting in the festivities.
