Centenarians celebrate milestone birthdays in Italy

Multiple individuals in Italy are celebrating their 100th birthdays. In Istrana, Teodora Piva marked her centenary on September 11, 2026, at the Residenza Istrana nursing home. Born in 1926, Piva was surrounded by three generations of her family and received a visit from local officials, including Mayor Maria Grazia Gasparini.

In Arcevia, Ivana Lattanzi is set to celebrate her 100th birthday on September 19. A former seamstress, Lattanzi will be honored by the municipal administration with a commemorative plaque during a celebration organized by her family and the Velia Vici nursing home. Arcevia has recorded seven centenarians so far in 2026.
