Central American teams excel at Pan American Youth Table Tennis Championships

The Pan American Youth Table Tennis Championships in Guatemala City have seen notable performances from Central American delegations.

Honduras secured two key team victories in the U15 category. The women's team defeated Mexico 3-1, led by wins from Marina Matute and Andrea Domínguez, alongside a decisive match by Ximena Chávez. The men's team also achieved a 3-1 comeback victory against Trinidad and Tobago, with individual wins from José Eduardo Palma and Jesús Tejada.

Costa Rica concluded its participation in the tournament with a bronze medal in the U15 women's team category. The squad, consisting of Amanda Jiménez Moraga, Samghí Yan Wu, Jaydeline Baker Crawford, and Noemí Matarrita Campos, secured the podium after defeating Canada 3-1 in the quarterfinals before falling to Brazil in the semifinals. Additionally, Lucca Lobo reached the individual quarterfinals in the U15 category, finishing among the top eight players in the continent.
