Pan-American Youth Table Tennis Championships

The Pan-American U15 and U19 Table Tennis Championships held in Guatemala featured strong performances from various regional delegations.

Initially, Brazil’s national teams maintained undefeated records through the group stages. In the U15 category, the Brazilian women’s team defeated Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Ecuador, while the men’s team won against Honduras, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago. In the U19 category, the Brazilian women’s team secured victories over Mexico, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic, and the men’s team won 3-0 against Costa Rica and Guatemala.

As the tournament progressed, Central American teams achieved significant results. Honduras’s U15 women’s team defeated Mexico 3-1, and their men’s team secured a 3-1 comeback victory against Trinidad and Tobago. Costa Rica earned a bronze medal in the U15 women’s team category after defeating Canada in the quarterfinals, though they eventually lost to Brazil in the semifinals. Additionally, Costa Rican player Lucca Lobo reached the individual quarterfinals in the U15 category.
