Central Bank of Iran releases August currency exchange rates

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) released official foreign currency exchange rates for August 9 and August 10, 2026. During this period, the value of most major currencies increased against the Iranian rial.

On August 10, the official rate for the US dollar was 1,525,950 rials, while the euro was valued at 1,759,433 rials. This followed the August 9 official rates of 1,519,645 rials for the US dollar and 1,756,541 rials for the euro.

Under the SANA system utilized by currency exchange offices, rates differ from the official CBI figures. For instance, on August 10, the SANA system listed the US dollar at 1,549,310 rials and the euro at 1,786,368 rials. Black market valuations remain significantly higher, with the US dollar trading between 1.85 and 1.88 million rials and the euro between 2.14 and 2.17 million rials.
