Central Elections Commission confirms legislative elections for November 28

Rami Al-Hamadallah, head of the Central Elections Commission, has confirmed that legislative elections are scheduled to proceed on November 28. During a meeting with civil society organizations in Al-Bireh, Al-Hamadallah emphasized that meeting this deadline is a priority for the commission and that work is progressing according to the approved timeline.

The commission reported that voter registration in the West Bank has been successfully completed, with a registration rate exceeding 87%. Additionally, the commission has resumed operations in the Gaza Strip and completed the hiring of necessary technical staff. The candidacy phase is set to launch simultaneously in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip on September 26.

To ensure transparency and oversight, the commission has extended invitations to various diplomatic missions and international monitoring institutions to participate in observing the elections. Al-Hamadallah highlighted the essential role of civil society in promoting voter awareness, expanding participation, and monitoring the integrity of the electoral process.
