M6.7 Palu Earthquake Triggers Damage, Injuries and Panic in Central Sulawesi

A magnitude‑6.7 shallow earthquake struck Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, on 16 June 2026 at 10:27 WIB, with the epicenter about 42 km southeast of Palu. The quake was felt strongly in Palu, Sigi, Poso, Donggala and surrounding districts. Authorities confirmed no tsunami risk.
