Centro Comercial de Passagem to partially reopen in João Pessoa

The Centro Comercial de Passagem (CCP) in downtown João Pessoa will partially reopen this Friday following the signing of a commitment term between the Secretariat of Urban Development (Sedurb) and the CCP Permittees Commission. The agreement establishes specific operational and safety standards to allow commercial activities to resume.

Due to the lack of electricity, the center will operate from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. As part of the agreement, the Commission must hire a company to develop a new electrical project, which must be submitted to Sedurb and the Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) within 30 days.

The partial reopening is limited to sectors and blocks not directly affected by the fire that occurred on August 27. Areas directly impacted by the blaze remain fully cordoned off and inaccessible, as mandated by the Municipal Civil Defense. Failure to comply with the agreed conditions will result in the immediate revocation of the reopening authorization.
