Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil expands cultural program with digital cinema showcase

The Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) is a leading Brazilian cultural institution that combines art exhibitions, theatre, music, cinema and educational activities across several cities. In June 2026 CCBB in Rio de Janeiro, together with the Cinemateca of the Museu de Arte Moderna (MAM), opened the partnership renewal with a new film series titled “A Outra Volta do Parafuso – 1ª Parte.” The showcase offers a comprehensive overview of the evolution of digital cinema, from early computer‑generated imagery such as *Tron* (1982) to recent productions that explore artificial‑intelligence‑driven storytelling. The program screens landmark films, includes workshops and discussions, and highlights how digital technologies have reshaped visual, narrative and aesthetic possibilities in global filmmaking.
