CERC approves tariffs for 1,200 MW solar and storage projects

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved tariffs for 1,200 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects. These projects include 600 MW/3,600 MWh of energy storage systems under Tranche-XXI to support firm and dispatchable renewable power.

The procurement was conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) following a competitive bidding process. The discovered tariffs range between Rs 3.12 and Rs 3.13 per kWh.

Four developers were selected for the capacity: NLC India Renewables Limited received the largest allocation of 600 MW, Engie Energy India Private Limited was awarded 200 MW, RPIL Power Three Private Limited secured 300 MW, and Oriana Power Limited was awarded 100 MW.
