Cersanit factory in Ukraine suspended for six months after drone attack

The Cersanit Invest factory in Zviahl, Ukraine, has suspended operations for at least six months following a Russian drone attack on the night of September 11-12. While all employees were successfully evacuated and no casualties were reported, the strike caused severe damage to critical components of the ceramic tile production cycle.

The company stated that the damage to the technological sequence makes it impossible to continue normal operations at this time. Detailed assessments of the destruction and financial losses are currently underway. Despite the setback, Cersanit indicated it does not intend to withdraw from the Ukrainian market.

The incident highlights the ongoing impact of the conflict on Polish-owned enterprises operating in Ukraine. Other Polish companies, such as FAKRO, have also faced similar infrastructure damage from drone strikes but have continued to rebuild and maintain production in the region.
