Cerveteri addresses local police dispute and social service staffing

The municipality of Cerveteri is addressing several administrative and personnel matters. The state of agitation by the local police has been temporarily suspended following a meeting at the Prefecture in Rome between workers' representatives and the municipal administration. The dispute centers on the safety, organization, and comfort of the operational headquarters on via Friuli. An inspection has been scheduled to evaluate the premises and the potential relocation of certain municipal offices to more suitable environments.

In a separate development, the Cerveteri Social Services Office has welcomed two new staff members, an educator and a psychologist, hired through ministerial funds following a public competition. These three-year fixed-term positions are intended to strengthen support for vulnerable groups, including the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and victims of gender-based violence. The Mayor indicated that two additional professional units are expected to join the department in the coming months.
