CESAR center established to advance AI, automation, and robotics in Poland

The Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Automation and Robotics (CESAR) has been established through an agreement involving the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and ten leading technical universities in Poland, including the Warsaw University of Technology and Bialystok University of Technology.

CESAR aims to integrate scientific, engineering, and research competencies in machine learning, automation, and robotics. The center will focus on autonomous systems, unmanned platforms, and solutions for defense, security, and industry. It is designed to provide companies and public institutions with access to research teams and infrastructure for the safe testing of technologies prior to full-scale implementation.

The initiative is coordinated by the Łukasiewicz Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements (PIAP) and holds the honorary patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The platform is intended to be open, allowing for the future expansion of its partner network to boost the competitiveness of Polish enterprises in the global AI race.
