Italian municipalities launch diverse public works and urban maintenance projects
Various Italian municipalities are initiating or managing diverse public works and maintenance projects. In Bologna, the city announced graffiti cleaning in specific streets, though local councilors noted that some residents had already paid for cleaning themselves and raised concerns regarding broader urban decay.
In Pisa, the municipality has launched a series of maintenance works for public housing (ERP) in via Merlo, with a total investment of nearly 687,000 euros aimed at fixing roof leaks. Similarly, in Loreto, 220,000 euros have been allocated for cemetery maintenance and earthquake damage repairs.
Other regional updates include road resurfacing projects in the Santarcangiolese area and Figline, and the approval of a one-million-euro restoration project for the San Paolo oratory in Soncino. In Siena, the city council has called an extraordinary session to discuss the future of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and its connection to the local territory. Infrastructure and urban renewal efforts are also underway in Cervaro for a local sports field, in Sciacca for sidewalks and stadium maintenance, and in Rende for green space cleaning and school maintenance.
