Meanwhile, on 27 July, environmental group Legambiente urged Avellino to adopt a broader urban plan that goes beyond school relocations, calling for participatory processes and climate‑responsive building standards. In Legnano, the “La scuola si fa città” initiative completed a redesign of Piazza Turati, creating a barrier‑free, inclusive area with circular plazas, permeable surfaces, upgraded lighting and drainage, while nearby school upgrades continue.
