The Spanish government has announced a plan to vacate and clean educational centers in Ceuta that were temporarily used to house minors during the recent migration crisis. This initiative aims to ensure that the new school year can begin as scheduled on September 8.

Following a meeting between the Government Delegate in Ceuta, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, and the provincial director of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Cristóbal Guzmán Marín, the plan was organized into three main pillars: the relocation of minors, comprehensive cleaning of the facilities, and the implementation of a school security plan.

Specific schools currently serving as shelters, including those in the Príncipe Alfonso neighborhood and the 'Reina Sofía' and 'Príncipe Felipe' centers, must be vacated and prepared before classes commence. While the cleaning efforts will extend to all educational centers in the city, officials stated that barring unforeseen circumstances or a sudden escalation in the migration crisis, the September 8 start date remains unchanged.
