Ceuta border clashes spur Moroccan parties to demand responsibility and anti‑human‑trafficking action

Moroccan political leaders responded to the recent violent incidents at the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. Mohamed Choukri, head of the National Rally of Independents, called for a responsible approach that moves beyond political debate, urging a serious discussion on creating real opportunities for young people and protecting lives. He stressed that migration has become a global challenge and praised Moroccan institutions for managing the crisis while safeguarding citizens' dignity.

The Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) also rejected what it described as “baseless accusations” against the state and condemned superficial analyses of the events.
