Ceuta faces shortage of placements for 500 underage girls
The transfer of 500 underage girls following a mass migration event in August remains unresolved due to a lack of available placements and unverified facility credentials. While Ceuta maintains legal guardianship of the minors, there is currently no confirmation regarding which specific centers will accommodate them.
Although the entity Engloba initially offered resources, it later indicated it might only have approximately 150 available spots. Critics emphasize that the emergency situation does not waive basic requirements, noting that Ceuta must identify precise resources before any transfers can occur to ensure the integrity and safety of the minors.
