Ceuta migration crisis drives opposition from PP and Vox
The political opposition in Ceuta, led by the PP and Vox, is utilizing the recent migration crisis following the mass arrival of migrants from Morocco on July 30 to challenge the central government. Both parties have accused the administration of weak management regarding border control and migratory pressure.
In Ceuta specifically, Vox leader Juan Sergio Redondo has called on PP President Juan Vivas to break existing agreements with the PSOE and the Islamist party to form a government coalition with Vox. Redondo expressed interest in managing portfolios such as Governance and Public Health, demanding a shift in political alignment to address the local crisis and the perceived lack of border security.
