AK Parti celebrates 25th anniversary with new vision and political gains

AK Parti celebrated its 25th anniversary with a large-scale event at Başkent Millet Bahçesi in Ankara. During the program, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech addressing the party's history and its future goals, including the 2053 and 2071 national visions.

The event was marked by significant political shifts, as three Members of Parliament and seven mayors from various parties—including CHP, İYİ Parti, Gelecek Partisi, Yeniden Refah Partisi, and DEM Parti—officially joined AK Parti. Following these defections, the party's number of MPs in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey rose to 280.

Additionally, the party released its 25th Year Vision Document. The document outlines strategic objectives such as achieving a ‘Terror-free Turkey’, enhancing digital sovereignty, promoting high-value production, and driving a green transition. The vision emphasizes transitioning from a period of capacity building to one of global influence.
