CFE utility pole sparks explosions and outages in Mexico

Residents of Paseo de San Isidro and Soneto 156 are calling on the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to inspect a utility pole following dangerous electrical failures during recent rainfall.

Witnesses reported that as rain intensity increased, the pole emitted a loud humming sound, followed by sparks, an explosion, and flames. The incident left visible burn marks on the pole and caused power outages lasting several hours or even days. Local inhabitants are requesting an urgent technical review to prevent further explosions and service interruptions during future weather events.
