CFE workers' bodies recovered after three-month disappearance in Puebla
Families of two Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) workers, Adolfo López Saldaña and Marco Antonio Sarmiento García, have begun funeral services after their bodies were recovered. The men had been missing since June 26, when they were last seen traveling in official CFE vehicles on the Mexico-Tuxpan highway toward Huauchinango, Puebla.
Their bodies were located on October 2 in a forested area near Huauchinango. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, authorities conducted studies to identify the victims and determine the causes of death. The workers' vehicles had previously been found abandoned in Hidalgo two days after their disappearance. The Federal Attorney General's Office is involved in the investigation.
