CFMoto expands motorsport and product reach with Italian R&D center

Chinese manufacturer CFMoto is expanding its global presence through strategic technological investments and product development. The company has announced plans to enter the MotoGP championship, supported by the construction of a new research and development center in Rimini, Italy. This facility aims to strengthen CFMoto’s motorsport capabilities and technical understanding as it seeks to climb the racing hierarchy.

In addition to its racing ambitions, CFMoto is reportedly developing a new 550MT adventure motorcycle. This model is expected to feature a 526 cc twin-cylinder engine producing approximately 53 CV, a significant upgrade from the current 450MT. The new model is rumored to include advanced features such as electronic throttle, cruise control, and a TFT instrument cluster, designed to improve long-distance touring performance.
