CFMOTO targets MotoGP entry through engineering investments

CFMOTO has expressed its ambition to enter MotoGP, though a specific timeline remains dependent on the company's technical preparation. To build the necessary competence, the brand has acquired a 51% majority stake in Kalex, a firm specializing in racing engineering.

In the near term, CFMOTO will provide the entire grid for the WorldWCR starting in 2027, utilizing the 675SR-R model from 2027 to 2029. Additionally, the company has extended its partnership with the Aspar team until 2031, a collaboration that has already seen success in Moto3.

Samantha Liu, general manager of CFMOTO’s sports management center, stated that while MotoGP is a dream for the company, the priority is currently on strengthening technical teams and organizational structures to meet the high engineering demands of the premier class.
