CFMOTO unveils new 450SR‑S in Argentina and sets speed record with V4 SR‑RR in China

CFMOTO announced the launch of the 450SR‑S in Argentina. The new middle‑displacement Supersport builds on the 450SR platform with a distinctive monobrake rear swingarm, revised aerodynamics, a six‑speed gearbox, liquid‑cooled 449.5 cc parallel‑twin engine producing 50 hp and 40 Nm of torque, and a dual‑channel ABS system. The motorcycle is now available through the brand’s official dealer network across the country and is marketed for both sporty riding and urban use.

Separately, CFMOTO’s prototype V4 SR‑RR recorded a top speed of 315.82 km/h (195.9 mph) during the Chinese Maximum Speed Record Challenge on 15 June at the CCCC test centre in Shangrao. Equipped with a 997 cc 90° V4 engine delivering about 210 hp and a sub‑1 kg/HP power‑to‑weight ratio, the bike became the fastest combustion‑engine motorcycle built in China, nearing the performance of established sport bikes such as the Ducati Panigale V4 S and Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The prototype remains in development with no official launch date, but CFMOTO intends to use the platform as a basis for future WorldSBK participation.
