CFR 1907 Cluj and Olimpia VSK sign youth development agreement

Olimpia VSK and CFR 1907 Cluj have signed a formal cooperation agreement aimed at fostering the development of young football players. This partnership builds upon a long-standing professional relationship between the two clubs, during which CFR Cluj has previously provided talented players to Olimpia VSK for seasonal stints.

The agreement follows new regulations approved by the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) Executive Committee, which allow SuperLiga clubs to establish official cooperation agreements with Liga 2 clubs. Under this framework, a SuperLiga club can designate up to five eligible players—born on or after January 1, 2004—to play for their partner Liga 2 club to gain professional match experience while remaining under contract with the top-tier side.
