Chaco-Corrientes bridge toll collection suspended for concession handover
Toll collection at the General Belgrano Bridge, connecting the provinces of Chaco and Corrientes, has been temporarily suspended to facilitate a transition in concession management. The suspension began at midday on Tuesday, October 6, ahead of the new operator officially taking control at midnight on Wednesday, October 7.
The new concessionaire is a Temporary Business Union (UTE) composed of the firms JCR and Néstor Guerechet. This group assumes operational control of the Litoral corridor for a projected 20-year term following the expiration of the previous administration's contract.
A new tariff structure will be implemented progressively between October 7 and October 10. Under the new scheme, the toll rate for vehicles using the TelePASE system will be $1,800. The new operator also plans to unify the TelePASE platform with the Telepeaje Plus system to improve automated device reading and reduce traffic delays.
